Is it true that iguanas give off gases that can make a baby go brain dead??

I was told by this guy that worked with my husband that he read somewhere that iguanas give off a gas that will make a baby go brain dead or become retarted, so I have a 2 month old baby and a year old iguana and I need to know this viable info immediately, please no guessing, only people who actually know the answer for sure.
